My Brother Knights of South Carolina, welcome to our State Council’s Cor website. Our Order established Cor in 2023 to invite all Catholic men to establish a Christ-centered Brotherhood in which all of us will be formed and sharpened as disciples of Jesus. The principles of Cor – prayer, faith formation and fraternity – are exactly what Blessed Michael McGivney stated in the original charter of the Knights of Columbus in 1882. The only difference between the 19th and the 21st Centuries is the outstanding availability of Catholic media that our Catholic brothers can use for prayer and faith formation. What has not changed is the dedication and leadership of our priests and the fraternity that binds Knights together. Another similarity is that just like the original Knights who formed San Salvador Council #1, our society is outwardly hostile to the Catholic Faith. Cor enables us to honor the promise we made when we became Knights – to continue to form ourselves in the Faith. The initiative also helps Catholic men to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, preparing us for courageous leadership for our mission as fathers, brothers and faith community leaders. I invite all my Brother Knights to browse through this website to learn about Cor and the initiative’s objectives as stated by our Supreme Knight, Patrick Kelly. Grand Knights and Council Evangelization and Faith Formation (EFF) directors will find all the information you need to organize and run Cor in your Council and Parish. Remember that Cor is for all Catholic men. Let us all join in the spirit of discipleship and evangelization.
